If you have a spacious backyard, it’s a good idea to let your Fawn Frenchie roam freely in your yard or patio throughout the day.
Simply walking around, jumping or running around a little bit, or playing with your children outside are all good forms of exercise for your little furball.
However, make sure to keep your Fawn Frenchies safe by having a fenced-in backyard. Some towns and counties having zoning laws that prohibits physical fences. If this is the case, a great alternative would be to install a wireless dog fence which will also keep your pups safe.
Also known as the invisible doggy fence, many dog owners prefer this because it is adaptable to all types of terrains whether it’s mountainous, hilly, or flat grassy terrain. If you have a beautiful and scenic mountain view in your backyard, you can still enjoy that view while keeping your canine friends safe.
With that, most dog owners will let their four-legged friends play outside in their backyard and get some fresh air throughout the day. If you’re worried that your pups can’t head outside during the day because you work at the office, you’ll want to install an electronic dog door which is programmable and allow customizable access.
This way, your canine friends can head outside on their own to your backyard or patio during the day (even when you’re away at work) and stay safe indoors at night.
Fawn Frenchie grooming and cleaning
A Fawn Frenchie is fairly easy to groom, three to four times a week of coat brushing is ideal to control shedding.
During the heavy shedding seasons, itâs best to use a Furminator de-shedding tool because of its ergonomic design and it controls shedding by as much as 90%.
To control every day shedding, you’ll want to use a slicker brush which is both soothing and can get rid of tangles at the base of their coat.
This is to say that you should expecting some shedding and loose fur on your sofa, furniture, carpet, hardwood floor, or any place in your home that your Fawn Frenchie likes to hang out in.
If you like your home clean and neat and find it annoying to you spot fur on your sofa, we highly recommend that you invest in a powerful vacuum cleaner. You’ll want to get one that is durable and can last for many years.
With my two dogs, we use the Miele Vacuum Cleaner because it has several power settings depending on which surfaces I need to clean.
Once a month bathing is good enough so as not to dry out their skin and coat. When it’s time to bathe your little Fawn Frenchie, be sure to use a dog shampoo that is gentle and made with natural or organic ingredients.
In between baths, it also helps to use doggie wipes for a quick clean of the skin and coat.
Next, donât skip on your dogâs oral health. Make sure to use a dog toothpaste that contains an enzymatic formula with non-foaming agent or a dental water additive for fresher and healthier gums and teeth.
Since the Frenchies are prone to ear infections, make it a habit to inspect their ears. You can clean their ears every other week with doggie ear wipes to prevent fungal and bacterial infections.
Finally, be sure to keep your Fawn Frenchie’s nails short since long nails can affect your dog’s walking gait. For a more pleasant trimming experience, try using a dog nail grinder which features whisper-quiet motor and a precise diamond drum bit grinder.
